Take That Scale!

I am ridiculously excited that it is Wednesday again because I had an AWESOME week and I am ready to weigh-in. I am, of course, linking up with the lovely ladies Heather, Ash, Bailey, and Amy!

So, why don't we just get right on in to this with no more messing around this week I was down 3.2 pounds! Yes, you did in fact read that correctly, 3.2 pounds!!!!!!!!! I could hardly believe it! I am now down to 232.6 which means that if I can lose just under 3 pounds in the next two weeks I will be in the 220's which was my goal before we go on vacation!

Check out my post from Monday for my big non-scale victory for the week.

Okay, so goals for last week went okay.
1. I did not do week 2 of C25K because I hurt myself on day 1 running through a field. So, I have been walking and zumbaing instead!
2. If you count walking as mixing something else in I guess I met this goal but I didn't start any new cardio (but I will be - more on that later!).
3. I did increase my calories by about 100 to 200 on workout days and it seems, based on my weigh-in, that it is working. It is funny because I actually really had a hard time getting those calories in. I used to eat WAY too much and now I have to push myself to eat just a little bit more than I have been eating.
4. I really did push myself harder this week in Zumba at least and it felt great!

Now, starting on Monday things are going to be changing up a bit because my husband and I decided to take the plunge and ordered Les Mills Combat and it should get here today sometime!

We are super excited for this new challenge! We are going on vacation shortly after we start it which is going to be hard but I think we will take it with us and try to fit it in. Maybe it won't happen every day but that is okay! We have decided to do the 5 day a week track to start so that means it is going to change the way I am doing things. It means C25K is going on the back-burner for a bit but I plan on fitting in a run/walk and/or Zumba on one of the rest days if I can. Along with Combat we will also be trying to eat clean while we are doing it for the next 60 days, again it will be hard while on vacation but worth it. So, here are my goals for this week!

1. Continue with Zumba and walk/run through the weekend.
2. Start Combat on Monday.
3. Eat cleaner (this one is probably going to be hard but we can do it).
4. Continue with the higher calorie intake on workout days.
5. Get together my own personal challenge/calendar for July.

Hope you all had a great week too!

Big Time Non-Scale Victory!

I have been disappointed in the amount of weight I have been losing lately and to avoid getting too discouraged I decided I would compare a picture from late March with one from this month. Pictures where I am wearing the same clothes, standing in the same spot. And, I don't know about you but I can sure see a difference! This really gave me that encouragement and boost I needed!

Time to Weigh-In

It is Wednesday yet again and that means it is time to weigh-in! I am linking up as usual with Heather, Ash, Bailey, and Amy!

I guess we will start with my goals from last week.

1. Week 1 of C25K and really push myself. - I did week one and I pushed myself as hard as I could and now I hurt but I am SO not giving up on this! I NEED to stop running on the sidewalk and instead go to one of the tracks that are right by my house.
2. Only do the longer Zumba classes (no more short classes for me). - Not one single short Zumba class this week! I wanted to do short ones a couple of days but I pushed through.
3. Continue with the my 30 day challenge and really push through the planks. - The challenge is going well, the planks? Well, not so much! I will get there though!
4. Go for a couple of walks with my boys and my dogs just to enjoy the outdoors and not necessarily to get a work-out in. - The dogs didn't make it out with us but we have been taking James out for a walk every night!

I am super disappointed that I am not seeing more weight loss right now but I think part of my problem is that I am not eating enough. I know that it sounds counter-intuitive but I just don't think my body is getting the nutrients it needs to really lose weight. I am going to try to increase my calorie intake a little this next week to see if it makes a difference.

So, weight this week is 235.8 that is a one pound loss. Not great but one is better than none so I will take it! I have three weeks before vacation and I really wanted to be in the 220's by then. It could still happen if I really push myself these next three weeks but honestly I am down over 13 pounds in the last few months and that feels great. I am also down almost 30 pounds from this time last year and that is awesome!

Goals:
1. Week 2 of C25K and do it on a track for goodness sake to spare my poor legs!
2. Mix something else in with Zumba this week. I feel like I need some more variety to get things moving again.
3. Try increasing my calories slightly to see if it makes a difference.
4. Push myself a little harder in everything I do this week to hopefully meet my goal of the 220's by July 12!

I will leave you with some of my favorite motivational posters from this week!

Weighing In

Okay, so I am not actually weighing in right now because I woke up this morning with a TON of water weight. Like so much that I hurt just to move. So, I am going to wait until later today or even tomorrow morning to weigh in. No point in discouraging myself when I have been doing so well!

So here is how my goals for last week went:

1. Re-start C25K outside - I did start it and realized I HAD to get real running shoes so I finally got some and boy did that make a BIG difference. But, because my first run was so terrible I am repeating week 1 this week and then will move on to week 2 next week.
2. My personal 30 day challenge - This has been harder than I thought and other than switching around which days I do Zumba and which days I do C25K every once in a while I have done really well with it. I am struggling with the planks but will make it through!
3. MFP logging is going strong!
4. Sharing this blog. I did it and it felt great. Didn't really get much support from anyone but it still felt great to share it!

I also went through my pants this weekend (see here) and last night I went through and reorganized and tried on some old tops. I still have a ways to go before I fit into all of my tops but I am okay with that! I was able to move a few over and that is all that matters right now!

Exercise went well again this week although I feel like I didn't push myself as hard as I have been so I need to change that up this week for sure. Okay other than goals for this week that is it for me! I will update this post with my weight once I have one I am confident in!

Goals:
1. Week 1 of C25K and really push myself.
2. Only do the longer Zumba classes (no more short classes for me).
3. Continue with the my 30 day challenge and really push through the planks.
4. Go for a couple of walks with my boys and my dogs just to enjoy the outdoors and not necessarily to get a work-out in.

Almost forgot! Linking up with Heather, Ash, Bailey, and Amy again this week!

And last but not least if you are following on Google Friend Connect it is going away in just a couple of weeks so you can follow me on Bloglovin!

Pants and Skirts and Dresses, OH MY!

So, I did not get through my whole closet as originally planned this weekend but I did go through my pants. I was able to pull three pairs out that are too big and there are another two that are WAY too big but I can't get rid of yet because the replacements don't quite fit yet! My guess is that within a couple weeks they will be going too!

I went from two pairs of jeans to five. One pair of capris to three. No skirts to two plus a dress. One pair of black pants to three. It felt great! I have four pairs that ALMOST fit so I am looking forward to that transition too! I am hoping to find some time in the coming week to go through at least half of my tops. I WANT to start with summer stuff but I think it would be easier to clear out the winter clothes first!

I also bought my first real pair of running shoes this weekend. I was fitted and tested before buying them and then got to run around in a few pairs to find the best fit for me. Found out that one of my feet is half a size bigger than the other because my arch is falling. I thought that was interesting! But, I now have a PHENOMENAL pair of running shoes and went for my first run in them last night! I have a long ways to come physically but I sure could tell the difference while running in the right kind of shoes!

That is it for me! Hope you all had a great weekend as well!

Another Successful Week!

It is time again for Weigh-In Wednesday with Heather, Ash, Bailey, and Amy! I am pretty excited for this week because not only did I see a weight loss but I also lost inches AND..................................I am down another pant size!!! That is right, I am now down 2 count them 2 pant sizes! It feels so great!!!!!!! I still wish I was seeing more weight coming off but slow and steady wins the race!

So, this week I am at 236.8, that is another 1.2 pounds lost. Apparently 1.2 is like my magical number as that is the amount I have lost every time I have lost weight in the past month or so! I will take it! I would really like to be down to the 220's by the time we leave for Disneyland in mid July. I will be posting my updated measurements on my Progress tab.

As far as workouts go this week I feel like I did really well. I only got days 1 and 2 of week 8 of C25K done but that is because I got the flu bug and there was no way I was doing day 3! But, I did still get Zumba in four days so I feel pretty good about that! I also have started my own personal 30 day challenge. I will probably create a tab and add it on here later today. I combined some that I have seen out on the internet and made my own! So far I am four days in and can feel the pain!

So, goals for next week:
  1. Re-start C25K and do it outside this time (off the elliptical)
  2. Stick with my personal 30 day challenge
  3. Continue to log on MFP daily
  4. Share this blog with the followers on my adoption/infertility blog
Okay, that is it for this week! I hope you all have an awesome week!
