It is that time of the week again!

It is Weigh-In Wednesday time again and this week it is being hosted by some new bloggers! I am SO glad it is continuing on! The new hosts are Heather, Ash, Bailey, and Amy!

So, with that out of the way it is time to go over my week. I had some great workouts again this week. Fit it in 6 days and on my "rest" day I cleaned our whole house, baked and decorated cupcakes for my step-daughters 10th birthday and then played mini golf at her party! So, I would say really I was active all week long! I started and finished week 7 of C25K and it was killer. I am SO nervous about starting week 8 but I keep reminding myself that it is only 3 extra minutes. I can do it for 3 more minutes! Tomorrow will be day one so we will see how it goes! I am secretly excited and outwardly nervous!

I did not meet my goal of working out in the morning three days (I only did it one day and it was almost afternoon) but I think I am going to have to be okay with that. Right now my life does not allow me to workout in the morning. I have an early riser and unless I get up at 3 am morning workouts are only happening on the weekend.

I ate very well this week. Found a third easy lunch to take to work (greek veggie pitas - let me know if you want the recipe) so I am excited about that! I even managed to control myself with the cupcakes which is a huge accomplishment for me because I love cupcakes!

Now, on to the reason we are all here...the weigh-in! I am down to 238 this week! That is a 1.2 pound loss! I was actually down another pound further than that earlier this week but this is what I have been at the last couple of days so this is the weight I am going with! I won't measure again until next week but I can see a difference in my legs and arms! I also put on a pair of capri pants that I haven't fit in for probably two years and they are almost too big on me!!!!

Goals for this week:
1. Start some arm strengthening. I have a bunch of ideas on pinterest I just need to pick one and start it! I want to be able to wear tank tops this summer!
2. Go through my closet and take out anything that is too big and put in clothes that I can almost fit in as an incentive!
3. Continue with six days a week working out and logging on MFP every day!

How was your week?

Weighing In

It is weigh in time again and I have decided I need to come up with more clever post titles! Clearly that did not happen this week!

So, I had another good week with exercise and feel like I ate pretty well but I didn't lose again this week. Now I was down earlier in the week and then up again today so I am thinking it may just be water retention and I am thinking that I really need to make more of an effort to work out in the morning so that I get more out of it. That is my biggest goal this week is to get at least three morning workouts in. I think I can do it!

I had one terrible workout this last week and I got really discouraged but have made some choices and some changes to overcome it. You see I just finished week six of C25K but I have been doing it on my elliptical. This week I decided I was going to do it outside and I couldn't do it. Part of the problem was my shoes and part of the problem was the difference in running on a elliptical and running on the pavement. So, I am going to bust through weeks 7 and 8 (just one time for each of them instead of repeating weeks) and then I am going to get myself a good pair of running shoes and start over at week one outside. I am excited and terrified all at the same time but if I don't do this I won't ever reach my goal of running a 5K.

So, my weight this week is still 239.2 but the good news is that I took my measurements this week (it has been two weeks) and I am down in my chest, waist, and hips! So, that made me feel better this morning when I was down about my weight!

So, goals for this week:

At least three morning workouts
Continue with six workout days a week
Continue logging on MFP to hold myself accountable

Weigh-In Time Again

And I FINALLY have a loss to report this week! I am down 1.2 pounds this week which means I am at 239.2! It feels great!

I had another great week with exercise. Three days of Zumba, three days of C25K plus walking on the Zumba days! I got to day three of week 5 of C25K (run for 20 minutes) and I DID it, TWICE! The first time felt amazing I actually got to experience the runners high! The second time was great two but accomplishing that run for the first time is something I will never forget!

I also did pretty good with eating this week. I have been forcing myself to put everything down in My Fitness Pal and that seems to be helping hold me accountable! I have started adding protein powder to my breakfast smoothie and it is amazing how much longer I feel full afterward. For the first time in a very long time I was actually over on protein one day last week!

So, my goals for this week are to continue with my workout goals (already have 40 minutes of Zumba done for today) and continue to log my food so that I stay on track. Hopefully next week will bring me even closer to my goal!

Weekly Weigh-In

I had another great week with exercise and an okay week with food. I do really well with breakfast and lunch during the week but tend to fall apart at dinner and on the weekends. I think my biggest problem is that I have my easy/fast go to recipes and they aren't healthy. I need to find similar recipes that are better for us and then add a ton of veggies on the side. If I could do that I think I would be successful! I am also trying to mix up my lunches a bit because I have fallen in a rut and I can see myself getting off the healthy track because I am tired of what I am eating. Again, the issue is that I need it to be fast and easy. So, this week I am having gazpacho instead of salad. It is more work at the start but then when it comes time to pack my lunch all I have to do is fill up a bowl and go! Do you all have good, easy, healthy lunch and dinner ideas for a busy Mommy?

So, my exercise this week consisted of three days of Zumba and three days of C25K. Then on my "rest" day I deep cleaned our bedroom, moved furniture and everything!

I started week 5 of C25K this week instead of doing week 4 for a second week and I am afraid I jumped the gun. I did do the first day twice before moving on to the second day but I did the second day of week 5 for the first time last night. It was hard but I did it. I will do it one more time before I brave the 20 minutes of running for day three. I must admit I am scared but I have to do this. I told my husband I would really like to go back to week one day one and see how much easier it is now to prove to myself how far I have come. I may just have to do that one day in the next week as an extra workout!

As for my weight this week there was no change. It is frustrating but I would rather have no change than a gain and I think this next week I will finally see a change! I also ordered one of those measuring tapes you can use to measure yourself so I am looking forward to starting to track my measurements too!

Weekly Weigh-In

Well I worked my butt off this week and was rewarded with a 2 pound gain. I know that it is water weight because my fingers are swollen but it was still a disappointment. But, on to next week we go.

This week I actually got a work-out in 6 days!

Three days of Zumba plus walking the dogs and the boy two of those days.
Three days of C25K. It felt really good to get back into this again. I rocked week 4 and even though I had been doing each week twice I feel like I am ready to move on to week 5 and that I need to after the break I took while I was sick. But, we will see how it goes!

The best thing that happened last week is I won the challenge I am in with my Mom, Aunts, and cousin (It is an 8 week goal based/weight loss challenge). It has been a long time since I have won and it felt great! I am using the money to buy a Zumba game for the Kinect so that I can keep that as part of my workout routine.

So, this week my weight is 240.4 up 2 pounds from 238.4 last week.

My goals for this week:
Get in six days of workouts again.
Work in more strength training with my cardio.
Finish Week 5 of C25K.
